Project Overview:

Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business that serves the increasing demand of EPC services for customers in the semiconductor (manufacturing facilities and supply chain); data center, electric vehicle (batteries, charging infrastructure, and production); and life sciences markets.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan, develop, design, coordinate, and review architectural work on large pharmaceutical projects with unique requirements. You will prepare discipline job hour estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope and budget. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction for a project's architectural aspects.

Major Responsibilities:

Develops conceptual designs for pharmaceutical projects having specialized or unique architectural requirements
Supervises,coordinates and interfaces the day-to-day technical work of personnel preparing design and construction documents
Supports preparation of staffing needs and schedules for projects and prepares metrics for performance reporting
Prepares discipline job hour estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget
Stays up to date on new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data
Coordinates with client representatives, as directed, to obtain approval
Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, for the project to which assigned
Mentors architectural personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development .

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

In-depth knowledge of Pharmaceutical Buildings and broad familiarity with other engineering disciplines
Knowledge of International Building Codes and building permitting process
Experience with design, construction, and commissioning activities, and a thorough understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects.
A professional architectural license to practice architecture in US is required.
Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Navisworks.
