We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer in Test who wants to make an impact in the cybersecurity space by continuing to advance, maintain, and enhance our platform features in the areas of application security testing for SAP applications, including the ability to review third-party custom code and transports, and automatic remediation for common code errors.

What you will be doing, your legacy: 

Working with leadership, product management, engineering, and the Onapsis research team. You will design, implement, and execute test procedures to ensure software features work as intended. Focused on automation and advancing automation capabilities, you will also design, build, and use test automation and build automation to ensure our software always fulfills business solution requirements to protect our customers. Work collaboratively as part of a software engineer team aligned with cybersecurity researchers and product managers to iterate toward product definition and realization. Additionally, you will be working with the Architecture team to take the platform to the next level of maturity in terms of technologies, quality, and architecture design while advancing our quality engineering processes to deliver high-quality products and services.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional software engineering experience

2+ years of programming experience with Python, Java and or JavaScript

Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience.

Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium. 

Experience with tracking and testing tools, including Test Case Management, Project

Planning Tools and Issue Tracking

Experience with databases, ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate), and building automation tools such as Ant and Maven

Experience testing APIs (REST, GraphQL) with tools such as Postman

Experience developing in Linux environment

Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD), CI / CD tooling, and Agile methodologies

Experience troubleshooting production environments using observability and monitoring tools

Desired skills or interests in:

Container technology, i.e., Docker, Kubernetes

Security software development best practices

Cloud-native application development and Cloud Technologies 

Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD), CI / CD tooling, and Agile methodologies

Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Experience influencing software engineers' best practices within your team

Location:

The location for this role is Heidelberg. This is a hybrid role, so candidates must be commutable to Heidelberg.
