The position
This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Senior Solutions Engineering within our Remote Build organization.
As Remote expands its business, our customers and partners have increasingly complex pre-sales and implementation needs. In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling Remote Build’s solutions engineering function, ensuring high-quality technical discovery, strong commercial outcomes, and tight alignment with Remote’s product vision — including architecting and implementing AI agent workflows that help customers and internal teams automate and scale how work gets done.

What will you be doing
Build and scale a solutions engineering function to support sales and customer outcomesDefine role profiles and coverage model (segments, regions, product lines)
Establish a repeatable technical discovery and solution design process
Set clear engagement models, roles/responsibilities, and success metrics

Own executive relationships with key customer and internal stakeholders, with accountability for:Commercial impact (deal support, win rates, cycle time reduction, revenue influence)
Technical quality (solution accuracy, implementation readiness, customer satisfaction, escalations, continuous improvement)
Alignment to product vision (AI adoption, roadmap inputs, standardization)

Contribute to a formal solutions engineering enablement and competency programDefine levels, requirements, and maintenance criteria (training, assessments, quality metrics)
Partner with Solution Architecture to codify technical standards, reference architectures, and best practices
Ensure competencies are measurable, auditable, and scalable

Contribute to the operating rhythm to manage and scale solutions engineeringBusiness reviews / performance reviews with Sales and key stakeholders
Clear escalation paths and incident learnings
Reporting on team health, coverage, and capability gaps

Helping define product lines and GTM strategies for Remote buildBuilding ADRs and PRDs for potential products
Identifying and abstracting solution spaces
Putting AI at the forefront of everything we do

Architect and implement AI agent workflowsTranslate business processes into agent-enabled workflows (intake, orchestration, guardrails, evaluation)
Prototype with modern LLM tooling and iterate toward production-grade implementations
Design human-in-the-loop patterns, escalation paths, and observability (quality, cost, latency)
Partner with Engineering and Product to ship secure, reliable agent capabilities (APIs, permissions, data access)

What you bring
Proven experience building and leading a solutions engineering (or equivalent) function, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management
Strong executive stakeholder management skills (internal and external), with a track record of driving outcomes through influence
Excellent cross-functional leadership and operational rigor: you can turn ambiguous goals into repeatable processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical detail into executive-level narratives
Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping AI agent workflows (or adjacent automation/orchestration systems), with a pragmatic approach to safety, evaluation, and iteration
Domain experience in HRTech, payroll, HCM, or adjacent industries

The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.

The annual salary range for this full-time position is
€80.000—€120.000 EUR
