About Us
Comfrt is one of the fastest-growing direct-to-consumer brands, dedicated to blending mental wellness, inclusivity, and elevated comfort into every piece we create. Our mission goes beyond clothing — we strive to build a community where everyone feels supported and seen.
Role Overview
The Site Merchandising Manager is responsible for executing the strategic merchandising vision across Comfrt's e-commerce platform. You will own the end-to-end optimization of how customers discover, navigate, and purchase products — managing product pages, category pages, site navigation, and search functionality. Working closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Tech, CX, and Data Science, you will create a best-in-class site experience. As a manager, you will supervise the Site Merchandising Coordinator and build a high-performing, detail-oriented team focused on execution excellence.
This role is ideal for an experienced merchandiser who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating seamless shopping experiences that drive conversion. This role reports to the Senior Site Merchandising Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Product Page Merchandising (PDP)
Lead the execution and optimization of product page merchandising.
Manage product imagery, descriptions, and metadata to ensure compelling on-page storytelling.
Oversee upsell recommendations execution (related products, bundles, cross-sell opportunities).
Manage the Coordinator's PDP setup and data entry work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and on-brand presentation.
Ensure PDP merchandising aligns with brand aesthetic and seasonal campaigns.
Monitor PDP performance metrics and make data-driven decisions on optimization.
Product Discovery & Site Search (PLP & Algolia)
Lead the execution and optimization of category pages, including filtering/faceting, sorting logic, and visual merchandising.
Design category experiences that guide customers through product selection while maintaining brand aesthetic.
Execute seasonal and trend-based category curation strategies to showcase collections, new products, and colorways.
Manage category taxonomy and hierarchy — ensuring the site structure is intuitive, scalable, and aligned with how customers think about fashion.
Own Algolia management end-to-end: day-to-day tuning, merchandising rule implementation, and operational excellence.
Organize product data and categorization to maximize search effectiveness and discoverability.
Execute A/B tests on discovery experiences (category curation, search ranking, filters, merchandising rules) designed by the Senior Site Merchandising Manager, CRO Manager, and Data Science team.
Monitor category, navigation, and search performance metrics and provide recommendations for optimization.
Team Leadership & Operations
Manage the Site Merchandising Coordinator, providing direction, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Build and maintain processes for PDP/PLP updates, seasonal refreshes, product launches, and campaign execution.
Oversee data-entry QA, merchandise accuracy, and categorization consistency.
Monitor Okendo reviews and leverage customer feedback to inform merchandising recommendations.
Track metrics and report on team productivity and execution quality to the Senior Site Merchandising Manager.
Develop processes that scale as the team and business grow.
Qualifications
5+ years of e-commerce merchandising experience, preferably in fashion, apparel, or lifestyle retail (DTC preferred).
Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus is strongly preferred.
Expertise in site search/discovery platforms (Algolia, Elasticsearch, or similar) — ideally Algolia experience.
Proficiency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, FullStory, Hotjar, or similar).
Demonstrated experience with PDP/PLP optimization and product merchandising strategy.
Team leadership or supervisory experience — ability to manage direct reports, build processes, and drive accountability.
CMS experience (Contentful, Sanity, Shopify Meta Objects, or similar) is helpful.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Passion for fashion, apparel, and consumer behavior — ability to balance brand storytelling with conversion optimization.
Fast-paced startup mentality: experience in high-growth DTC environments and comfort with ambiguity.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience with dynamic / AI-powered merchandising platforms.
Experience managing multiple channel merchandising (web, app, marketplace).
International e-commerce experience.
Experience with Okendo or customer review platforms.
