Position Summary
BDR Solutions is seeking Production O&M Engineers to sustain CIS (Common Integration Services) 24x7 production operations on IBM webMethods ESB/BRE/BRMG and deliver CIS infrastructure currency packages under the IRS CAS program. CIS processes ~40M API transactions/month. This role maintains production stability while concurrent CIS modernization proceeds, and cross-trains with the CBS O&M team to provide a resilient shared on-call pool.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 24x7 on-call production O&M for CIS IBM webMethods ESB/BRE/BRMG; respond to P1 incidents within 30 minutes, restore within 4 hours; P2: assign within 1 hour, restore within 8 hours
Monitor CIS production via AppDynamics and ELK/ELARS dashboards; generate ServiceNow tickets; coordinate with IRS cybersecurity and infrastructure teams as needed
Execute CIS legislative and regulatory release packages within IRS-approved change windows; provide release evidence and post-deployment validation
Execute CIS infrastructure currency change packages: runtime upgrades, certificate updates, SSO changes, dependency remediation within Government-approved windows
Maintain backup/restore procedures; conduct quarterly backup restoration testing; support IRS DR exercises
Produce monthly CIS O&M Performance Reports and quarterly trend analysis reports
Cross-train with CBS O&M team for shared on-call coverage
Required Qualifications
4+ years in 24x7 enterprise production support for middleware or enterprise API/integration platforms
IBM webMethods or comparable ESB/integration platform in a production support context
AppDynamics, ELK/ELARS, and ServiceNow proficiency: incident management, root cause analysis, structured escalation
Federal IT change management and FISMA security compliance in a production support context
Active IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required
Preferred Qualifications
Direct IRS D&PE CIS, TCS, or PBBA production operations experience
Active MBI from IRS D&PE program
ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification
IBM webMethods administration or monitoring certification
The salary compensation range for this position is $145,000 – $175,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment is not guaranteed and will proceed only if the associated contract is awarded and funded.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
