Job Summary
The Senior SDET / QA Automation Engineer will play a key role in improving product quality across web, mobile, and API ecosystems by expanding automation coverage, strengthening release confidence, and enhancing the reliability of CI/CD quality practices. This role requires a strong automation background with JavaScript and/or TypeScript, hands-on experience with modern testing frameworks for web and mobile applications, and a proven ability to troubleshoot failures, reduce flaky tests, and improve test stability. The ideal candidate is comfortable ramping up quickly within an existing automation framework, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and QA teams, and driving measurable quality improvements across multiple product areas.

Responsibilities
Design, maintain, and improve automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications

Develop and expand automated test coverage across browser, mobile, and backend systems

Improve testing reliability within CI/CD pipelines to increase release confidence and product stability

Investigate test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve automation issues efficiently

Reduce flaky tests and continuously improve the stability and reliability of automated test suites

Define test strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders

Work closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and QA teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle

Review automation code, promote testing best practices, and help improve overall software testability

Support quality initiatives across multiple product teams and contribute to automation standards and engineering excellence

Help drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tooling, and quality practices across the organization

Qualifications and Job Requirements
5+ years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Quality Engineer

Strong experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript

Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, WebdriverIO, or similar tools

Proven experience building automated test coverage for web, mobile, and API applications

Experience testing native mobile applications on both iOS and Android

Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines

Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills

Demonstrated experience reducing flaky tests and improving automation reliability

Advanced English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
Experience defining test strategies and test plans

Experience working closely with Product Managers, Developers, and QA teams in cross-functional environments

Experience with BrowserStack or LambdaTest

Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI

Experience testing React applications

Experience with API and integration testing

Familiarity with Mocha, Allure, or ReportPortal

Experience with Cypress

Exposure to cloud and infrastructure tools such as AWS, Docker, GCP, or Heroku

Experience with accessibility testing and/or contract testing

Background in SaaS, payments, billing, invoicing, or similar product environments

Experience mentoring or coaching engineers on quality and automation best practices
