About the role

At Nomadic we build autonomous drones that land and recharge on high-voltage power lines. Our drones sit on live 380kV lines today, harvest energy from the grid, and deliver continuous monitoring data to grid operators across Europe and America. As Full Stack Platform Engineer you turn that sensor data into customer value by building the dashboard and data platform our customers use every day. This is not a frontend or backend role. It's both, plus the data and infrastructure work in between. We need someone resourceful who picks the right tool for the job, whether that's a managed service, an open-source library, a quick script, or something built from scratch.

Tasks

You design intuitive UX that makes complex daily workflows feel effortless. You build infrastructure to handle and process the data collected by thousands of drones. You understand our customers deeply to turn raw data into actionable insights. And whatever is necessary: if something needs to happen, you do it.

In your first three months you will improve database query and data processing efficiency, improve the user experience of the customer-facing dashboard, build new features for that dashboard, and co-design the software stack for remotely operating the drone.

Requirements

Web development experience, particularly with React. Experience with databases, particularly PostgreSQL. A feel for good UX and a drive to make things simple for the end user. Curiosity about the domain: you don't need to know anything about power grids, but you should be interested to learn. Bonus points for experience with Supabase, building models from data, or mobile app development.

You don't need to tick all of these. If you're a fast learner and excited about your work, we want to talk to you.

Benefits

Any AI subscription or tool that helps you get the job done. Office-first in central Munich, a few stops from the Isar and the English Garden, with remote work supported from time to time. A Wellpass membership with extensive access to gyms and sports studios across Germany. A snack bar that's always stocked.

Fill out our application form. We are especially curious about an impressive app you have built in the past. After you apply we set up an intro call and a technical deep dive with one of our engineers. If it's a good fit we fly you in for a paid trial work day and you get an offer the following days.
