About the role

At SOFTGAMES, we build games played by millions of players worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Game Designer (Systems & Economy) to help evolve one of our leading Solitaire TriPeaks games. You will own the long-term evolution of a mature live game with a loyal player base, balancing player satisfaction, engagement, and commercial performance.
In this role, you will own the design and optimization of the game’s progression, economy, events, and monetization systems. Your mission is to create compelling short-, mid-, and long-term goals that keep players engaged for months and years while maximizing player satisfaction and business performance.

This is a REMOTE position.
Your Role:
Own and evolve the game’s economy, progression, reward systems, and monetization

Balance and optimize game systems, collaborating closely with the Level Designer to deliver a rewarding long-term player experience

Design and evolve LiveOps events, tournaments, and seasonal content that drive engagement, retention, and revenue

Optimize monetization systems including offers, currencies, energy systems, and booster economy

Build and maintain economy models, balancing spreadsheets, simulations, and forecasting models

Analyze player behavior, progression bottlenecks, and monetization opportunities using game data and KPIs

Define hypotheses, design A/B tests, and iterate features based on data-driven insights

Partner closely with Product, Level Design, BI/Analytics, Art, and Development to continuously improve game performance

Confidently evolve a mature live game by introducing meaningful improvements while respecting the expectations of a loyal player base

Clearly communicate design rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations across the team

Your Profile:
5+ years of experience designing and operating successful free-to-play mobile games

Strong experience in systems design, economy design, progression design, and LiveOps

Experience working on mature live games with long-term player progression and economy balancing

Proven track record working on casual or puzzle games

Ideally experienced with Solitaire TriPeaks, card games, casino games, or other long-lived casual games

Experience balancing existing systems while minimizing disruption to long-term player behavior

Strong understanding of player motivation, retention mechanics, monetization, and long-term engagement

Advanced spreadsheet skills and experience building balancing, simulation, and forecasting models

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate player data into actionable product improvements

Experience defining and evaluating A/B tests and making data-driven product decisions

Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities and take ownership

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Passion for games and creating outstanding player experiences

Proficient in using AI tools to improve productivity and decision making
