About the role

Team description

The Central Product Analytics team sits at the heart of how SumUp understands and improves the experience of millions of merchants using our products every day. This role owns the Engagement domain — covering merchant engagement, product activation, support responses, and navigation across the SuperApp and web dashboard — and is the primary analytics partner for the Engagement product team. It's a genuine opportunity to take full ownership of a domain, build the measurement foundations from the ground up, and shift the team from reactive reporting to proactive, insight-led decision-making.

What you'll do

Define event taxonomies and measurement plans, implement and QA tracking (GA4), and make sure analytics is built into new product features from day one

Build and maintain scalable datasets in Snowflake — including funnels, customer behaviour models, and feature adoption metrics — and use them to generate insights that directly inform product decisions

Design and evaluate A/B tests: define success metrics, assess statistical validity, and communicate results clearly to product and engineering stakeholders

Create and maintain intuitive dashboards and reusable query templates in Tableau that help teams answer their own questions without always needing an analyst

Partner with product managers to develop and map out KPI trees, identify measurement gaps, and improve the quality and accuracy of engagement tracking across the domain

You'll be great for this role if…

Proven experience as a Data or Product Analyst, with a strong track record of working with customer behaviour data and translating it into product decisions.

Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing, optimising, and validating queries, building data models, and participating in code reviews.

Strong knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and experience with data warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Postgres, or Redshift.

Comfortable designing and analysing end-to-end experiments, including A/B tests and feature flag rollouts, with a solid understanding of statistical validity.

Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong written and verbal English skills.
