As a Korean Language Quality Specialist, you will work closely with the Language Quality Specialist Manager and the Head of Quality and Compliance. Your role will be pivotal in monitoring and improving the translation quality of our global supplier pool. By maintaining high standards for external freelancers, you will contribute to enhancing overall quality output and supporting a robust global quality management system.
Key Responsibilities
Initiate Quality Feedback Reports and Improvement Plans for selected resources, collaborating with stakeholders including PMs, internal linguists, external reviewers, and talent managers.
Analyze language quality issues and develop global and local improvement strategies with project management and quality teams.
Support Talent Managers and PMs in anticipating and resolving quality issues.
Identify and flag resources for promotion or demotion based on quality performance.
Conduct regular analysis of resource and language quality status.
Monitor edit distance metrics per language and contribute to enhancing language output.
Drive the global language quality strategy and implement tools to monitor outsourced translation quality.
Collaborate with the Terminology Coordinator to ensure language assets are created and updated as needed.
Assist in building a robust and efficient Quality System, including the creation of SOPs related to language quality.
Contribute to the development of best practices and enhancements in Language Quality.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3–5 years of experience as a Language Quality Specialist managing multilingual projects.
Strong mediation and negotiation skills, especially in cross-cultural environments.
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to change.
High level of commitment and motivation.
Higher education in translation-related studies or equivalent professional experience.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
Deep understanding of Multilingual Quality Monitoring processes.
Proven skills in analysis, time management, organization, and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
Frequent use of keyboard requiring repetitive finger motion.
Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication, requiring accurate speech perception.
Regular sitting for extended periods.
