About the job

This position is needed to lead our global AR strategy across our core and emerging enterprise tech portfolio, spanning CPaaS, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Identity, Conversational AI, and comprehensive Customer Engagement Platforms. This is a high-visibility leadership role tailored for a sophisticated communicator who commands executive presence and possesses a deep mastery of the modern B2B enterprise technology landscape.

As the architect of our analyst strategy, you will lead and grow a high-performing team tasked with a critical mission: maintaining and solidifying our undisputed leadership in established markets while educating, influencing, and shaping the narrative in the new and emerging categories that define our future. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our executive team and a compelling storyteller to the industry’s most influential market analysts.

Responsibilities

Strategic Vision & Execution: Set the global analyst relations strategy across our core and emerging portfolio. Drive execution by partnering cross-functionally across Communications, PMM and R&D.

Analyst Engagement & Advocacy: Build and nurture deep, trust-based relationships with tier-one firms (Gartner, Forrester, IDC) and key industry consultants. Lead strategic advisory sessions, briefings, inquiries, and flagship events like our Analyst Summit.

Category & Audience Expansion: Identify high-impact opportunities to amplify our story beyond traditional coverage and reports, educating and influencing analysts in new and emerging market spaces and gaining insight to feed back to the business and inform our roadmap from the analysts’ expertise.

Evaluations & Content Architecture: Drive the end-to-end strategy and content submission process for major market reports (Magic Quadrants, Waves, MarketScapes), collaborating with product marketing and senior leadership to ensure winning positioning.

Executive Coaching & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and product leaders; provide sharp feedback on messaging and thoroughly prepare spokespeople for high-stakes analyst engagements.

Team Leadership & Process Excellence: Scale and optimize the AR function, improving organizational structures, managing budgets, and implementing processes that elevate the entire team's execution.

*Required:

Enterprise Tech Experience: 15+ years of tech experience within B2B SaaS, developer platforms, or data infrastructure.

AR Track Record: A proven track record of managing and securing leadership positioning in major analyst reports and executing global, multi-category communication strategies.

Executive Presence: Proven track record of commanding poise, managing pressure, and successfully influencing audiences at the C-suite and VP level.

Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and persuasive communication skills.

Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and quantitative skills to research strategic issues, generate insights from complex market data, and translate them into actionable business recommendations.

Leadership & People Management: Excellent people leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to attract, motivate, mentor, and performance-manage a world-class, growing team.

Collaborative Powerhouse: A natural relationship builder and proactive self-starter who values diverse input, stimulates candid dialogue, partners seamlessly across matrixed stakeholders, and maintains a positive attitude and sense of humor. 

Location

This role will be remote, based in the United States.

Travel 

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 15% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

Compensation

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $207,200 - $259,000.

Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $219,360 - $274,200. 

Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $243,680 - $304,600.

This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
