About the role

RINA is looking for an independent Human Factors Engineering (HFE) consultant or a specialized consulting firm to support an international rail infrastructure project in the GCC area.
The assignment will focus on HFE activities related to Operation Control Centres (OCC), including both existing and newly planned control room environments.
The expected duration of the engagement is approximately 2 months.
The selected expert will be involved in activities such as:
Hierarchical Task Analysis (HTA) for different OCC roles and operational functions;
preparation/revision of Task Analysis and HFE reports;
HFE assessment of an existing OCC;
HFE review of a new OCC, including layout, operator workflows, ergonomics and operational integration;
participation in technical discussions, workshops and presentations with project stakeholders;
possible site visits, if required.
We are particularly interested in professionals or consulting firms with proven experience in:
Human Factors Engineering in railway/transport projects;
control room/OCC design and assessment;
task analysis and operator workload/workflow evaluation;
preparation of HFE documentation and technical reports in English;
international infrastructure or rail projects.
Availability for remote support is required; availability for meetings or site visits, if needed, would be considered a plus.
