About the role

Location: Remote
Job Type: Full-Time
At HireHawk, we connect top global talent with high-performing U.S. companies. Our focus is on finding exceptional professionals who bring both expertise and drive to every role. We’re passionate about helping candidates grow their careers while supporting our clients with reliable, remote-ready talent that makes an impact from day one.
We are looking for a highly skilled Apparel Graphic Designer / Design Assistant with a strong focus on brand-driven, garment-based design. This role goes beyond traditional graphic design—you will create original artwork for apparel, support product development, and help translate brand identity into physical products.
You’ll work closely with the brand’s creative direction to develop graphics, iterate on designs, and contribute to the overall product vision. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role ideal for someone who understands both design aesthetics and apparel production workflows.
Responsibilities:
Create original graphics for apparel (not marketing creatives)
Design artwork suitable for cut-and-sew garments
Translate brand identity into wearable designs
Develop mockups and visual representations of garments
Support design iteration cycles from concept to final product
Prepare production-ready files when needed
Conduct inspiration and trend research
Contribute to concept development and design direction
Help evolve and maintain a cohesive brand aesthetic
Work closely with stakeholders to align on vision and execution
Take feedback and iterate quickly while maintaining design quality
Requirements
2–5+ years of experience in apparel graphic design or fashion-related roles
Strong graphic design skills with a focus on apparel (Adobe Illustrator – required)
Ability to create original artwork from scratch (not just editing assets)
Experience with cut-and-sew design processes (non-negotiable)
Strong understanding of mockups, garment development, and iteration workflows
Experience contributing to concept development and creative research
Proven background in apparel or fashion design (graphics-focused)
Strong sense of branding, aesthetics, and visual storytelling
Ability to work independently and take ownership of design output
Solid understanding of current fashion trends, especially streetwear/apparel
What the role is NOT:
Not a marketing or social media design role
Not focused on ads, banners, or performance creatives
Not a purely junior assistant role with no ownership
Not suitable for candidates without apparel/fashion experience
Benefits
Access to a $200K+ perk marketplace with discounts on 150+ global services.
Option to withdraw up to 50% of approved earnings before payday.
