About the role

Revent is an early stage venture capital firm backing founders building companies that truly matter. We believe that the best builders of our generation don’t just want to build a unicorn, they want to create and leave a legacy for humanity. As a firm, we work relentlessly hard to earn the right to partner with these outlier individuals - obsessives on a mission, as we call them.

We've invested in companies such as Avelios Medical (Sequoia-led Series A), Tem Energy (Lightspeed just led their Series B), and several yet unannounced rounds with Tier 1 funds, and are currently deploying a fresh €112M fund. With this fund, we will invest in ~40 early stage companies all pushing the boundaries in AI and frontier tech to build a better collective future for us all.

Tasks

We're hiring a Chief of Staff to join us full time in Berlin, working closely with the Partners across investments, firm building and strategic projects. The role is available as of September.

Revent is a small team by design, which means this role carries real weight. You'll be a trusted sparring partner to the Partners, owning high leverage projects and driving the operational backbone that allows us to move fast and create real value to society as well as our stakeholders (founders & investors).

Your scope is broad and will evolve with you. In a given week, you might:

Work directly with the Partners on fund strategy and high priority initiatives that shape the direction of the firm.

Support on dealflow topics helping to find the next founding team building a decacorn in our topics (health, energy, AI safety amongst others).

Support our LP and investor relationships, from preparing updates and reporting to supporting fundraising processes and ensuring every touchpoint reflects the quality we stand for.

Identify and implement operational improvements across our internal processes, infrastructure, and tooling, including building out our AI and tech stack to make the team more effective.

Strengthen and expand Revent's network within the VC, tech, and startup ecosystem, building the kind of relationships that compound over time.

Our team is small and we work closely together. You'll have exposure to all parts of the firm, from investment decisions to fund operations to community building.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who thrives in an ultra fast paced environment and who is an entrepreneur at heart. We are looking for someone who has founded companies, projects or initiatives in the past or is very keen to do this in the future.

Your experience level can vary from university drop out to MBA graduate. What matters to us is your ambition level, your drive, your enthusiasm for our topics and projects.

High tech proficiency is very helpful as new AI tools are coming out every month and are further increasing the operational efficiency and excellence of our team. We want someone who is comfortable with an AI native tech stack and keen to further develop our system. We search for people who demonstrate:

An entrepreneurial spirit. You don't wait for instructions. You spot opportunities, create structure where it's missing, and know when to pull others in. You have hands-on experience managing and executing projects, and understand what makes operations run smoothly behind the scenes.

Strong emotional intelligence. You can read a room, navigate different personalities, and adapt your style depending on who you're working with. In a role this close to the Partners and this connected across the firm, EQ is not a nice to have.

Curiosity and clarity of thought. You love to learn, to understand the underlying why, and can articulate ideas, implications, and a point of view with incisiveness.

A builder's spirit. We see ourselves as a startup too, very early in our journey with some initial wins and yet much to prove. We look for people with a high degree of agency who are genuinely excited to roll up their sleeves and work with a team to co create an exceptional firm.

A passion to create a better world. Revent invests in companies that can become massive by virtue of solving real problems for humanity. We're a mission driven team and only want to work with people who share our commitment to invest in companies that will become both big and important.

Excellence. We have a high bar and are constantly striving to get better. We look for people who are dedicated to doing things extremely well and to constantly improving.

Practicalities

This is a full time role based in Berlin.

Ideally you bring 1 to 4 years (internships count) of experience in a fast paced environment.

Compensation is between €60,000 and €90,000 annually depending on experience, plus a performance based bonus, plus a carried interest component.

This role is a great spring board if you want to start a company in the future and strengthen your network and domain expertise.

You should be prepared to stay at least 12 -24 months. From there you are in a great position to either start a company or join a hyper scaling startup.

We are not sponsoring working visas, meaning you must already have the right to work full time in Germany.
