About the role

About the team

SumUp's Point of Sale (POS) solution helps cafes, shops, bars, hair salons, and thousands of other businesses manage their day-to-day operations. Alongside the POS experience, merchants rely on powerful reporting, sales management, and fiscalisation tools to understand their business, stay compliant, and operate with confidence.

This role would own these three domains from a design perspective - Reporting, Sales, and Fiscalisation. You'll design the experiences merchants use to analyse performance, manage sales activity, and navigate local fiscal requirements, while helping shape a more unified reporting experience across SumUp's payments, banking, and commerce products.

You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and data teams within POS, and collaborate with designers and stakeholders across SumUp to deliver experiences that are clear, trustworthy, and built to scale.

What you'll do

Lead end-to-end design across Reporting, Fiscalisation, and Sales domains - from discovery and strategy through to production-ready delivery

Drive the unification of reporting experiences across Dashboard and Mobile, making complex data clear and accessible for merchants

Design holistic flows - including sign-up, onboarding, and export experiences, that meet local regulatory requirements while remaining scalable globally

Establish UX patterns for presenting data-heavy, financial information consistently across SumUp products

Shape long-term product strategy by running discovery initiatives, influencing the roadmap, and acting as a trusted design partner for product and engineering

You'll be great for this role if…

You have a minimum of 5 years working as a Product Designer, with a portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end ownership across complex digital products.

You have solid experience designing dashboards, reporting interfaces, or analytics products, with a clear ability to make complex financial or operational data understandable for non-expert users.

You have deep expertise in product  design, information architecture, and systems thinking, applied across interconnected product ecosystems.

You have a track record of leading product discovery independently - from identifying user problems through to validating and shipping solutions, without needing close supervision.

You are an excellent communicator, comfortable aligning diverse stakeholders across product, engineering, and business functions and presenting work with confidence.

You are proficient in Figma, with familiarity in Miro and Notion and comfort working within modern, collaborative design workflows.
