About the role

Role: Product Designer
Remote | Full-time
Ethereum Community Fund is looking for a solid product designer strong in application design preferably with experience in more complex applications. User experience design experience is a plus. As a designer here at ECF, going with the standard product design templated process and research may not be the apt approach for us as we are involved in several open source projects with many other teams in our space collaborating on a constant basis — It will be necessary to adapt with the flow and time constraints we constantly face.
However, your contributions will not be limited to just design or UX research but as a part of the on-going and deeper discourse amongst many domain experts in privacy, cryptography, decentralized networking, governance, social including many more areas. Everyone can be a part of any discussion and we expect each member to engage anywhere we can to build the best products for the community.
As a product designer we also expect you to have visual capacity for both great design and great UX implementation. Having up-to-date knowledge with best practices and being resourceful. Being transparent with your work and always up to share progress with anyone on the team is also something we value.
Important Points
Solid user of Figma (or other equivalent)
Building components and managing a library of components
Use of auto-layout and properties
Providing clear specs with annotations for developers
Well organized with designs in pages and naming conventions
Can prototype (e.g. Framer)
Fast prototyping is a VERY handy tool in our situation as many folks will not have the time to fully understand static designs in a call.
Figma prototyping is also great.
Dev Hand-off & Communication
Being resourceful to find FE solutions with fellow devs
Clear communication between development both in discussion and in design
Personal
Highly self-motivated/self-driven
Insatiably hungry to learn and grow
Fluent in English
Highly reliable/Ability to meet deadlines ahead of time
Focus on solutions mentality!
Comfortable with an adaptive fast-paced startup environment.
Ability to work in a diverse multi-disciplinary team.
Sense of humour is a plus!
We understand that not every applicant will know everything lf you think you have what it takes and are willing to learn, send your CV & cover letter to us!!
