About the role

Óscala is a Dutch/Spanish supplier of nearshore software engineering services. The company is HQ based in Haarlem (NL) and has a Software Development Center in the city center of Valencia.
Óscala works for a growing list of reputable clients in The Netherlands and surrounding countries. We offer our clients additional (remote) capacity so they can continue to build their state-of the-art software solutions, web applications, mobile apps and alike.
Each Óscala Software Developer works exclusively for one client and is an integral part of their Software Development team - working closely and on a daily basis together with Tech Leads, Architects and other colleagues of the IT team in The Netherlands (or Germany or Belgium).

DATA ENGINEER – FULL REMOTE

What You’ll Do:

Develop and maintain robust ELT pipelines and transformation models.

Support and optimise our Snowflake data warehouse performance.

Build and maintain dbt models, ensuring associated documentation is current.

Monitor and troubleshoot failures across data pipelines, Airbyte connectors, schema changes, and ingestion issues.

Support critical Tableau reporting datasets and meet downstream reporting requirements.

Drive improvements in reliability, governance, and observability across the entire data platform.

Support Finance and commercial reporting needs, including revenue recognition, P&L, and margin analysis.

Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Product, and Operations.

Contribute actively to initiatives focused on data quality, metric consistency, and documentation.

Requirements
What we’re looking for:

3–5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer

Strong hands-on experience with:
● Snowflake
● dbt
● SQL
● Python
● ELT / ingestion tooling

Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) Highly Desirable

● Airbyte
● S3
● Git-based workflows and CI/CD concepts
● Tableau or equivalent BI tooling
● Revenue or finance reporting datasets
