About the role

Fashion Cloud is a Hamburg-based B2B software company connecting brands and retailers across the fashion industry. We build the digital infrastructure that helps our partners share data, content, and processes more efficiently - with offices in Hamburg and Amsterdam and a close-knit, international team of around 50 people.
As part of an ongoing system migration, we're moving files and data from our legacy infrastructure to a new system, and we're looking for two working students to help us run this process smoothly, reliably, and with a close eye on data quality.

What you´ll bring
Some hands-on coding experience - the specific language isn't critical; we care more about your ability to read, understand, and reason about code and data

Strong critical thinking skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach to spotting and troubleshooting issues

Comfort working with or curiosity about AI agents/tools - prior experience here is a real plus, and the more you have, the better

Currently enrolled as a student (Werkstudent status)

Reliable, independent way of working - you'll be trusted to keep an eye on things without constant supervision

Good communication skills in English; German is a plus but not required

Important: You are currently enrolled as a student (Werkstudent status)

Your tasks
Run and actively monitor our migration agent throughout the migration period

Review migrated files and datasets for completeness, accuracy, and consistency

Spot anomalies or errors, document them clearly, and work with the project team to resolve them

Help refine and improve the monitoring process as you learn more about the system and typical error patterns

Communicate regularly with the project team on progress, blockers, and open questions

Support ad-hoc data checks or reporting as needed during the migration window

What’s in it for you?
€15/hour, paid working student position

20 hours/week, with scheduling that works around your lecture times and exams

Limited to 2 months

Real responsibility on a live migration project - not just observing, but actively owning part of the process

Direct exposure to how a B2B SaaS company plans and executes a system migration, including the tooling and workflows involved

A friendly, supportive team in our Hamburg office who's happy to answer questions and help you ramp up

The chance to build practical experience with data quality checks, monitoring workflows, and AI-assisted tooling - useful skills well beyond this one project

Macbook and equipment needed provided by us

Flexible working hours - No 9 to 5, you are in charge of your time!

A great office - we stick to a hybrid work model (minimum 3 days per week working at the office) and enjoy flexibility between working face to face with colleagues at the office

Employee benefits - discounts at great brands
