About the role

ecopals is building the leading performance additive platform for asphalt and bitumen modification, engineered for regional, sovereign supply chains and backed by strong unit economics. Our current product line is built on high-performance polymers, with further additive categories in active development. In the last two years, we have scaled to active operations in more than 10 EU countries, and we are now pushing decisively into Eastern Europe, CEE and North Africa.

As we enter our next growth phase, we are opening a mandatory internship position for Business Strategist & Investor Relations Support (m/f/d). The role works in direct, regular contact with our management and leadership staff, offering genuine insight into how funding decisions are made and how strategy is developed at ecopals.

Tasks

In this internship, you will work closely with the management team on strategic and operational questions related to fundraising, growth and market positioning. You will be involved in projects that are directly relevant to ecopals' development and gain insight into how a growing deep tech company operates.

Areas of responsibility

Fundraising and investor relations. Supporting the preparation of financing rounds, and helping build and refine pitch decks, business presentations and supporting materials for investors, grant bodies and strategic partners.

Strategy and market analysis. Conducting market, competitive and industry analyses, and preparing materials that support strategic decisions and recommendations.

Support for leadership. Contributing to day to day operations, meeting preparation, analyses and decision documents, and staying close to ongoing strategic initiatives.

Communication and storytelling. Helping structure and refine ecopals' corporate and impact narrative for different audiences, both internal and external.

Independent projects. Taking ownership of work packages and projects connected to growth, financing and company development.

Requirements

Advanced studies in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Finance or a comparable field.

A structured and independent way of working, with a strong sense of ownership.

Solid analytical skills and a good understanding of business and economic fundamentals.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and, preferrably, German.

Good command of PowerPoint and Excel; prior experience with pitch decks, market analyses or financial topics is helpful but not required.

An entrepreneurial mindset, a hands on approach, and genuine interest in working closely with management on core questions facing a fast growing deep tech startup.

Benefits

Proximity to decision making, with direct collaboration with management and leadership staff and real insight into strategic and financial processes.

Responsibility from an early stage, with the opportunity to take ownership of your own areas of work.

A steep learning curve, with meaningful exposure to fundraising, strategy and operational leadership in a deep tech environment.

Meaningful impact, contributing to technology that supports critical infrastructure.

This position is a mandatory internship. A corresponding confirmation from your academic institution, stating the requirement to complete an internship, must be provided prior to the start of the internship.
