About the role

Most technologies promise the future. We're already building it. At MOTOR Ai, we've spent years doing what others said couldn't be done in Germany: developing Europe's first certifiable Level 4 autonomous driving system - one that doesn't just detect the world around it, but understands it. Rooted in cognitive neuroscience and driven by a team that bridges disciplines, we're not waiting for autonomous mobility to arrive. We're the reason it will.

Tasks

Support the development, integration, and testing of software and automotive systems

Take ownership of smaller projects and contribute to day-to-day engineering activities

Participate in on-site testing and field assignments, including travel for 2–4 weeks at a time

Document test results, analyze findings, and help improve our development and testing processes

Work with modern development tools and AI-assisted workflows while collaborating closely with an experienced engineering team

Requirements

You're currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field

You have some hands-on experience with software development or automotive systems through your studies, university projects, internships, or personal projects

Technology is more than just your major - you enjoy building, experimenting, and learning new things, whether through side projects, open source, hackathons, or your own ideas

You enjoy taking ownership, working independently, and finding practical solutions to challenges

You have a valid driver's license and are excited to join on-site testing trips lasting 2–4 weeks when needed

Experience with Linux and ROS2 is a plus, but we're also happy if you're eager to learn

You're curious about modern AI developer tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar technologies, and enjoy using them to build better software
