About the role

This is a remote position.
The SAE Institute Distance (online) Campus is looking for a: Animation and Motion Design Facilitator to join our academic team.
The post requires impeccability in every aspect of the qualification’s academic integrity, student support, academic content development, evaluation, moderation, assessment of learning as well as supporting SAE Institute’s vision and mission.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

A Masters (NQF Level 9) related qualification essential

Initial bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) Qualification needs to be in related field (Animation and Motion Design, Digital Arts etc.)

A minimum of 2 years lecturing / teaching experience within higher education

Experience in the field of 2D or 3D animation of a minimum of 2 years preferred.

Experience in Online Facilitation and workshop facilitation skills in an academic or training environment of a minimum of 2 years preferred.

Demonstrate knowledge and experience in 2D tradigital and cutout animation and relevant software (preferablytoonboom harmony, Adobe software suite, particularly Photoshop and possibly Adobe Animate (or similar 2D animation software)

Demonstrate Knowledge and experience in 3D animation, sculpting and software (preferably Blender)

Online facilitation experience beneficial, with fundamental understanding of curriculum and assessment management and improvement and gradebook management.

Proficient in Learning Management Systems and MS Office computer software

●Strong admin ability
Essential Skills:

Skills in either storyboarding, asset creation/concept art (for games) or motion graphics is an additional requirement.

Possess communication, interpersonal skills, administration skills, be organised and possess good time management skills.

Collaborative and willing to work with fellow lecturers and the HOA to support students.

Knowledge of academic compliance within thehighereducation sector

Proficient in computer software, apps, social media, and technology in general
