About the Role
10x Team matches expert freelance talent with leading AI labs developing next-generation technology. We are seeking experienced software architects based in the EU or UK to help enhance the quality, accuracy, and real-world value of AI-powered systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and refine AI-generated outputs covering software architecture, system design, code patterns, and practical software development
Evaluate AI responses for technical correctness, viability, and compliance with actual development practices
Draft realistic software architecture scenarios drawn from your hands-on professional background
Develop scenario variations from diverse viewpoints (architect, client, developer, or project manager)
Pinpoint gaps, oversights, or flawed reasoning in AI-generated technical content
In essence: You’ll leverage your architectural expertise to improve how AI learns and reasons, ensuring content matches authentic processes, documentation, and decision-making in real projects.
About You:
Senior-level software architect with substantial EU or UK professional experience
Proven track record in advising, preparing, and leading architecture and system design projects
Skilled at critiquing technical solutions, architectural documentation, and industry standards compliance
Self-motivated and adept at providing organized, critical feedback
Available 8–20 hours per week with prompt response times
You need to live in the UK or EU

NOTE
At 10x, there are two types of opportunities:
1. Traditional freelance missions
These are regular project-based opportunities where the listed mission is the actual project you may work on.
2. AI Lab roles
For AI Lab roles, we scout, review, and approve profiles for access to future project opportunities.
The missions listed for AI Lab roles are not traditional job openings. AI Lab work is often highly confidential as this exposes information of what an AI Lab is working on, and project requests are unpredictable. When an AI Lab request comes in, we often need to respond within 24 hours with suitable talent.
Matching depends on the specific needs of each AI Lab project and your niche expertise. Once your profile is reviewed and approved, you may be matched to relevant AI Lab projects when suitable opportunities arise.
This can happen within hours, but it may also take months, depending on the researchers at the AI labs and their project needs.
Compensation: €105 – €159 per hour
