About the role

About the Role
A fast-growing, AI-powered Gen Z talent and gig marketplace is looking for a Brand Marketing Manager to own brand voice, content strategy, and creator programs across both student-facing and B2B partner channels. You'll be the connective tissue between a digitally native Gen Z audience and the brands that want to reach them — building emotional resonance with students while earning credibility with business partners.
This is a high-ownership role at a scrappy, mission-driven startup (11–50 employees) that sits at the intersection of career tech, influencer marketing, and the gig economy.
What You'll Do
Define and steward the brand voice across both Gen Z student and B2B audiences; develop dual-audience content calendars and produce thought leadership that positions the company as a category leader.

Own social media strategy for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts (Gen Z) and LinkedIn (B2B); partner with the social team to create engaging content and experiment with new formats.

Lead integrated cross-channel campaigns, experiential activations, and PR efforts designed to reach both students and brand partners simultaneously.

Build and scale influencer and creator partnerships end-to-end — from sourcing and contracting through to ROI measurement — while cultivating long-term creator relationships.

Monitor brand health metrics and analyze content performance across both audiences; iterate strategies based on data-driven insights.

What We're Looking For
Required:
Proven experience developing and executing brand marketing strategies, including establishing and maintaining brand voice and overall content strategy.

Demonstrated ability to lead social media campaigns across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.

End-to-end experience managing creator programs and influencer marketing campaigns (sourcing → execution → measurement).

Ability to craft messaging that resonates with Gen Z student audiences while simultaneously building credibility with B2B brand partners.

Comfortable and effective working in a hybrid environment.

Strong fundamentals in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.

Nice to Have:
Experience at a marketplace, gig economy, or career/talent platform.

Background in experiential marketing or PR.

Familiarity with performance dashboards and content analytics tools.

Years of experience: 4–6 years in brand marketing, content strategy, or a closely related role.
Visa sponsorship: Not available.
Location
This is a hybrid role based in Santa Monica, CA. Candidates should be local or willing to relocate.
