About the role

Position Summary
The Pharmacy Risk Analyst supports pharmacy risk management and stop-loss initiatives by analyzing pharmacy claims, identifying emerging cost drivers, and assisting with pharmacy benefit strategy development. This role works closely with consultants, underwriters, brokers, and clients to evaluate specialty drug exposure, high-cost claimants, PBM performance, and pharmacy cost-containment opportunities.What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:

Analyze pharmacy claims, utilization, and financial data to identify trends, risks, and savings opportunities.

Monitor specialty drug spend, gene therapies, GLP-1 utilization, and high-cost claimant activity.

Assist with pharmacy risk assessments, stop-loss reviews, and underwriting support.

Support PBM evaluations, contract reviews, benchmarking, and implementation projects.

Prepare client reports, executive summaries, dashboards, and presentation materials.

Research market trends, specialty drug pipeline developments, formulary changes, and biosimilar opportunities.

Collaborate with consultants, underwriters, PBMs, and vendor partners to support client strategies.

Maintain reporting tools, databases, and project documentation.

Work Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in PBM account managment, pharmacy benefits, healthcare analytics, stop-loss, underwriting, or employee benefits.

Experience with pharmacy claims analysis or PBM reporting.

Knowledge of specialty pharmacy, formulary management, and manufacturer rebates.

Familiarity with stop-loss underwriting and pharmacy risk management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The target salary range for this position is $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually.The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
