About the role

We are looking for an experienced U.S. Accountant & Tax Specialist to join our client’s team remotely and support a U.S.-based company with bookkeeping, tax preparation, and financial reporting.
This position requires availability during standard U.S. Eastern Time (EST) business hours.
Key Responsibilities

Manage company and client bookkeeping using QuickBooks Desktop.

Prepare individual and business U.S. tax returns.

Complete and submit state sales tax filings.

Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.

Review accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Maintain organized financial documentation for tax and audit purposes.

Collaborate effectively with team members based in the United States.

Ensure all tax filings are completed on time while maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information.

Requirements

Proven experience using QuickBooks Desktop in a professional accounting environment.

Strong working knowledge of ProSeries Desktop.

Hands-on experience preparing U.S. individual and corporate tax returns.

Solid understanding of U.S. federal and state tax regulations.

Experience preparing and filing sales tax returns.

Strong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals.

Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Reliable computer equipment and stable high-speed internet connection.

Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and remain available during EST business hours.

Nice to Have

Previous remote experience supporting a U.S. accounting or tax practice.

Familiarity with IRS Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S.

Experience managing accounting for multiple companies or clients.

Knowledge of payroll processing and year-end reporting requirements.

Experience working with confidential financial and tax data.
