Join Synmatch AI's client as a Membership Manager – Europe with an internationally recognized organization dedicated to responsible forest management through certification and stewardship. This is a unique opportunity to lead membership development across a diverse European base spanning environmental NGOs, social organizations, and economic actors.
Our client seeks a dynamic membership professional who brings deep familiarity with the European landscape Its stakeholder ecosystems, regional dynamics, and cultural diversity and can translate that knowledge into impactful membership strategies that strengthen their mission on the ground.
This role combines strategic development with hands-on engagement, where you'll analyze membership gaps, design outreach strategies, build relationships across chambers and geographies, and act as a trusted advocate for European members within the international organization.
What you will do as a Membership Manager – Europe...

Membership Development: Lead growth and development of membership across the European region, analyzing the current landscape to identify gaps in chamber and geographical representation

Strategic Recruitment: Identify and engage potential new members that strengthen the organization's mission and diversity across the region

Outreach Strategy: Design and implement outreach strategies to expand the European membership base effectively

Engagement Planning: Develop and execute engagement plans that increase and diversify participation across chambers and geographies

Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with members, regional networks, and stakeholder communities, drawing on an established European professional network

Member Services: Deliver high-quality member services, keeping members informed on key processes, governance, and strategic topics

Guidance & Training: Provide guidance, information, and training to members across the region as needed

Member Advocacy: Act as a trusted point of contact and advocate for European members within the international organization

What we are looking for…

Education: University degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Communications, Environmental Studies, Social Sciences, or equivalent

Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in stakeholder relations, outreach, or membership/network development with international organizations or cross-border projects

European Expertise: Proven track record working within or across European institutions, networks, civil society, or multi-stakeholder platforms

Cross-Cultural Engagement: Experience engaging diverse actors across different European countries and cultural contexts

Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build trust across cultural and sectoral boundaries

Networking Ability: Existing or readily buildable European professional network across relevant sectors

English Fluency: Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken)

Additional Languages: Fluency in one or more additional European languages (e.g., French, Spanish) is a strong advantage

Technical Skills: Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
