About the role

🚀 About Us
We’re Bolt.new by StackBlitz!
We’re the team that brought you WebContainers, the first-of-its-kind technology that made it possible to run Node.js right inside your browser. That breakthrough kicked off our journey in 2019, and it’s what powers the blazing-fast online IDE used by over 1 million developers every month.
But we didn’t stop there. We doubled down on everything we learned and built — the fastest way to go from idea to production without writing traditional code. It’s a next-gen, AI-powered app builder that helps you create, edit, and deploy full-stack web and mobile apps instantly, right in your browser. No installs. No setup. Just smart automation and instant dev environments that let you move at the speed of thought.
We’re a fully remote team, globally distributed, deeply collaborative, and seriously passionate about building the future of software development.
This is your chance to join a small team with a big vision. If you love shipping fast, solving real problems, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, we’d love to meet you.
✨ About This Opportunity
It’s an exciting time to join the Bolt design team. The company is in its hyper-growth phase, and design has a major role to play in taking Bolt.new to the next level, not just in look and feel, but in product quality, building the iconic product experiences this AI moment calls for.
We’re building an elite team, and we’re growing. You’ll get hands-on experience leading design on everything from the smallest details to the biggest bets. We have plenty of ambiguous problems to solve and we move fast. We’re looking for bold thinkers, sharp problem-solvers, and hungry builders. Expectations are high, and so are the impacts.
As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll lead design for new zero-to-one product experiences in untapped territory. You’re comfortable with the discomfort of not knowing, and energized by challenging how things have always been done, coming up with solutions that don’t just improve, but evolve, how individuals and teams use AI. You’re someone who can fly at 1,000 feet and 3 inches above the ground at the same time: someone who can drive strategy using a designer’s superpower, while still obsessing over the details that actually make a difference.
🛠️ How You'll Contribute

Understand your customers: Are they asking for a faster horse, or a car? Work with cross-functional partners to identify and prioritize the user problems worth solving, not just the ones people have today, but the ones that will make their lives easier tomorrow. Think big!

Own projects end to end: From partnering with product on problem definition, through divergent and convergent design thinking, to tangible designs (in Figma or with AI tools), design QA, and quality control.

Set the vision for what future Bolt looks like: We’re in a fast-evolving industry, and we need to think fast and act boldly, not follow trends, but define how teams use AI to build great products. Use tangible designs to drive product directions. After all, designers have the superpower to turn abstract ideas into something people can see and react to.

Raise the quality bar on all things design: Typography, spacing, motion, and visual consistency. Build and improve our design systems to result in higher-quality product launches across a growing product line.
