About the role

We are looking for a Financial Risk Management Specialist to support the implementation and continuous enhancement of the organization's financial risk management framework. This role is responsible for monitoring financial risks, preparing risk reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, and supporting risk governance initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen the organization's risk culture and maintain an effective financial risk control environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Risk Reporting & Analysis

Prepare, analyze, and validate daily financial risk management reports, including risk exposure and limit utilization.

Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual risk reports and key risk indicators.

Support the preparation of reports for management committees, executive leadership, and board-level meetings.

Monitor financial risk trends and provide insights to support informed business decisions.

Risk Governance & Policy Management

Review and assess financial risk limits and recommend enhancements aligned with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Support the annual review, implementation, and communication of financial risk management policies, standards, and operating guidelines.

Monitor compliance with approved risk limits and policies, identifying breaches and tracking corrective action plans.

Assist in implementing enterprise-wide financial risk management initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Respond to financial risk-related inquiries and escalate significant issues to the Risk Management Head when necessary.

Risk Monitoring & Controls

Assist in identifying, measuring, monitoring, and reporting financial risks across the organization.

Support the development and maintenance of risk metrics, dashboards, and exception reporting.

Promote a strong risk culture by participating in risk awareness campaigns and delivering risk and control training sessions.

Collaborate with business units to strengthen internal controls and ensure effective risk management practices.

Risk Systems Administration

Serve as the administrator for the organization's risk management platform, including maintaining risk databases and monitoring system data quality.

Ensure risk information is accurate, complete, and up to date within the risk management system.

Other Responsibilities

Support special projects and risk management initiatives as assigned by the Risk Management Head.

Contribute to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and risk governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.

Minimum 4 years of experience in Financial Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Treasury Risk, or a similar risk-focused role.

Strong understanding of banking, trust, treasury, or financial services operations.

Knowledge of financial risk principles, regulatory requirements, and risk governance frameworks.

Experience in derivatives risk management is an advantage.

Professional certification such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is an advantage.

Knowledge of risk management systems (e.g., Archer or similar GRC platforms) is preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and reporting skills.
