Role overview:

Instructure is looking for a versatile, solution-oriented graphic designer to join our creative team. You’ll be responsible for turning complex educational content into clean, impactful visual stories. What you’ll do:

Brand stewardship: Maintain and evolve the visual identity of the Instructure learning ecosystem, including the visual relationship between our company and ecosystem and its respective products, programs, and services. You’ll ensure our brand remains consistent across digital, print, and environmental touchpoints.

Multi-channel campaign design: Execute visual assets for global marketing campaigns, including social media, web banners, email templates, and long-form content.

Event creative: Support large-scale events like InstructureCon by designing employee and attendee enablement pieces, including Zoom backgrounds, presentation graphics, one-pagers, and social media kits.

Collaboration: Work with copywriters, content creators, and channel managers to ensure a cohesive user journey.

Asset management: Manage a high-volume ticket queue (via Asana) and help maintain an organized, accessible library of brand assets for internal stakeholders.

What you’ll need (requirements):

Experience: 3–5+ years of professional graphic design experience (SaaS experience is a major plus).

Technical mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Basic animation skills and proficiency in Canva and Figma are highly preferred.

AI curiosity: A willingness to explore and experiment with a range of AI tools.

Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating a clean aesthetic and the ability to simplify complex information into a digestible flow.

Accessibility first: A deep understanding of WCAG accessibility standards as they apply to color contrast and digital design.

Contextual thinking: The ability to apply learnings (about design tools, brand guidelines, Instructure audiences, and Instructure products) where applicable across your work.

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills—you can explain the why behind your design choices and incorporate feedback gracefully.

Bonus points if you have:

Experience with motion graphics or video editing (After Effects/Premiere).

Knowledge of prepress and print production for large-scale physical events.

Prior experience working in an agile environment using Asana and Slack.

Instructure values:

Openness: We stay curious and collaborative.
