About the role
Hi there! We are Testlio, a global software testing company with its own freelance network. Our freelancers test apps from companies across the globe. Testlio is a great place for people who value the freedom and flexibility of remote work.
For one of our current projects, we are testing out our client's media streaming app. We are particularly interested in how the app performs in households that use DirecTV Satellite Dishes. If you have one installed at your house, we'd love to hear from you! Prior software testing experience is not a must; we will share materials and free, in-house courses that will get you started.
Payrate: $22 USD / h.
You will be paid per hour, not per issues/bugs you find on our client's streaming app. That way, you will get paid even if you don't find any bugs.
You can chose to be paid via Paypal or Payoneer for tasks completed on our website.

Requirements
Age: You have to be at least 18 years old.
Location: Must be physically located in the United States.
Language: Must be Advanced/ Native in English for communicating with the testing team and reading task instructions.
Availability: This is a freelance role, and we will try to assign as many working hours as possible. Currently, we're looking at weekly tasks of 2 to 4 hours per task.
With an account on our website, you will be able to pick up more work in other projects as well!
Devices: DirecTV Satellite Dish. At the moment, we're not looking for just DirecTV subscriptions. We're looking for participants who have physical DirecTV Satellite Dishes installed at home.
Experience: Software testing experience is a plus, but if you are new to testing, we offer free courses to help you learn and grow. We offer a preparatory course that will help you learn more about testing on our website.
What does testing look like?
Type of testing: Functional, content and payments testing.
Type of work: short-term, freelance.
Workload: 2 - 4 hours per week.
Payment: You are paid weekly via PayPal or Payoneer.
What will you be testing in the streaming app?
Main Focus Areas
Validate that assigned titles are available and playable
Confirm Closed Captions (CC) render correctly and toggle on/off properly
Verify title discoverability via search (text and voice, if supported)
Confirm channel availability when applicable
