Position: Electrical Design Specialist
Type:Contract
Compensation:$70–$85/hour
Location:Remote
Duration:Short-term project
Role Responsibilities
Develop, analyze, and evaluate electrical designs based on technical requirements and system performance.
Design and review electrical systems, circuits, and components, including distribution systems and control panels.
Interpret and analyze electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Perform electrical calculations such as load flow, voltage drop, and short-circuit analysis.
Evaluate design alternatives and identify potential design issues or improvements.
Review and validate designs against project requirements and engineering standards.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Experienced Electrical Design Engineers or Electrical Engineers with hands-on industry experience.
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of electrical system design and engineering principles.
Practical experience in designing or evaluating electrical systems.
Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems and power distribution.
Experience with tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or Revit.
Preferred
Advanced degree or professional engineering certification.
Experience with power system studies and specifying and sizing transformers and switchgear.
Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
Familiarity with electrical codes and standards like IEC, IEEE, or NEC.
