About The Role & Team

Amplitude is looking for a Partner Solutions Architect - AWS to design practical, technically sound solutions connecting Amplitude with the data platforms our customers and partners use. As part of our Strategic Partnerships team, you’ll work with AWS and consulting partners, bringing hands-on architecture experience across AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks. A major part of your work will be authoring clear reference architectures and data flow diagrams that explain how solutions operate, their dependencies, and their limitations. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Solutions Engineering, and Professional Services to validate designs and help partners implement them successfully.

As a Partner Solutions Architect - AWS, you will:

Own the creation and maintenance of implementation-ready reference architectures and professional data flow diagrams, documenting system components, integrations, data movement, security boundaries, and operational dependencies.

Design and validate integrations connecting Amplitude with AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks, drawing on hands-on experience building with these platforms.

Evaluate proposed solutions for technical feasibility, clearly explaining architectural tradeoffs, unsupported capabilities, failure points, and implementation constraints.

Enable partner architects, engineers, and consultants through technical deep dives, architecture reviews, and implementation guidance grounded in validated solution patterns.

Work with Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams to resolve architectural questions, surface integration gaps, and turn proven implementations into repeatable partner offerings.

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

You’ve worked as a Partner Solutions Architect or Partner Engineer, helping technology or consulting partners design and deliver integrated solutions.

You bring experience with product analytics, customer data platforms, experimentation, or behavioral data pipelines.

You’ve developed reusable reference architectures, integration guides, or service methodologies adopted by other technical teams.

You understand the AWS partner ecosystem and have worked with partner architects or technical teams on shared customer solutions.

You can lead productive architecture reviews, challenge assumptions constructively, and help stakeholders make informed technical decisions.

At a minimum, you need to have:

You have 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data architecture, partner engineering, or a comparable hands-on technical role. We welcome experience from internal architecture teams as well as partner-facing organizations.

You have deep experience personally authoring reference architectures and data flow diagrams, with clear documentation that technical teams can use to build and implement solutions.

You have direct experience building integrations, data pipelines, or other substantive solutions with AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks, beyond using their interfaces or consuming reports.

You can work hands-on with APIs, SDKs, SQL, and a programming language such as Python or JavaScript to validate designs and troubleshoot integrations.

You can explain how a solution works, where it can fail, and why an approach may be unsuitable, grounding your recommendations in implementation experience and technical validation.
