About the role

Summary
For 20 years, PEX has helped organizations manage spend more efficiently, nimbly and competitively. Today PEX is a secure spend management platform for mid-market finance teams, with the PEX Visa® Commercial Card, the PEX Visa® Prepaid Card, advanced card controls, real-time visibility into card use and faster reconciliation. We serve thousands of organizations and hundreds of thousands of people in the workforce, and we work each day to help our customers run more efficiently.Who you are

We’re hiring a Content Marketing Manager to join our Demand Gen team and build authentic connections with our target audience. By developing a deep understanding of industry trends, and the evolving needs of finance leaders, you will create insightful, highly relevant content across key buyer journeys. A strong writer and editor, you will turn original research and customer stories into content that gets cited in press, search and AEO, while partnering with agencies and cross-functional teams to directly connect content to pipeline and business growth.
Key Responsibilities

Content, research, webinars
Own the content calendar, sequencing formats to move buyers from awareness to decision

Co-own PEX's original research program: 3 to 4 studies a year, including studies with research and association partners

Turn each study into a quarter of content: reports, webinar content, blog series, answer-first web pages, sales talk tracks and press pitches

Partner with PR to pitch every study to the trade media finance leaders read, and work with Demand Generation to distribute via email, social media, webinar, syndication, etc.

Develop webinar content tied to each study and launch, working with Demand Gen on promotion

Write and edit blogs, guides, landing pages, email and thought leadership

Keep our resource library current with Demand Gen and Product Marketing

Support a focused events calendar with show content

Customer proof
Own the case study program end to end: find customers with Sales and Customer Success, interview them, secure approvals and publish

Build a case study for each product launch, vertical and use case (for example travel and fuel), with a focus on our corporate card

Turn each case study into press pitches, follow-up email, personalized web campaigns, sales assets and social posts

Run our review program on G2 and Capterra with Customer Success

Social, SEO and AEO
Own organic social strategy and the PEX company page

Own our SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) approach so PEX content is found and cited in search and AI answers

Track AI Search visibility, citations and AI referral traffic, and refine the approach as AI Search changes

AI in content

Use AI tools like Claude and Profound across the content process: research synthesis, outlines, first drafts, editing and repurposing one study into many formats

Build repeatable AI workflows, such as prompts, templates and skills, that help the team produce more high-quality content without losing our voice

Review every AI-assisted piece for accuracy, sourcing and brand voice before it ships

Use AI Search data from Profound to decide what we write next, not only to report visibility

Agency and partners
Manage our content agency and freelance writers and designers against priorities, deadlines and budget

Work with Demand Gen on campaign plans so content launches with paid, email and personalization in place

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field

4+ years of content marketing experience in fintech, SaaS or financial services

A portfolio of customer case studies you've written, from customer interview and approval through publication

Experience running original research or survey programs from design through launch

Strong writing, editing and storytelling, including reports, white papers and webinar content

Experience with SEO, AEO and content optimization

Working knowledge of campaign management and how content feeds paid, email and personalization

Experience managing agencies and freelancers

Experience with WordPress, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Power BI and Profound, and managing G2 and Capterra listings

Strong analytical skills and the ability to tie content to pipeline and new customers

Ability to manage multiple projects and work across Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and PR
