About the role

About Lio
Build AI that runs inside the world's largest enterprises.
Everyone is building AI. Very few are making it work at enterprise scale.
At Lio, we're building the AI workforce for procurement. Our AI agents automate complex, mission-critical workflows across procurement, logistics, and finance for some of the world's largest companies.
Backed by leading investors including a16z and Y Combinator, we're growing fast and tackling some of the most complex challenges in enterprise AI.
We're looking for people who want to take ownership, solve hard problems, and build technology that delivers real business impact.

The Role
We're looking for a Product Manager – Pre-Sales & Go-to-Market who can bridge the gap between what enterprise customers need, what our engineers build, and how we bring our products to market.
At Lio, product decisions don't happen in isolation. Every customer conversation, sales cycle, and implementation reveals new opportunities to make our AI agents more valuable.
Your mission is to turn those insights into action.
You'll work directly with our Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Implementation teams to understand customer needs, shape product positioning, strengthen our go-to-market strategy, and identify opportunities that drive revenue.
You'll be deeply involved in enterprise sales cycles, helping our teams communicate the value of our AI agents, build compelling business cases, and win customers.
This isn't traditional Product Management.
Our engineers own their features and make most product decisions. You won't manage a backlog or spend your time writing detailed specifications.
Instead, you'll provide the customer context, commercial insights, and clear recommendations that help our engineers build the right things and our Sales team sell them effectively.
We care about real customer value and commercial outcomes, not features that look impressive but never get used.

What You'll Do
Connect product and go-to-market: Work across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Implementation to align customer needs, product capabilities, and commercial opportunities.

Get close to customers: Participate in enterprise discovery calls, demos, workshops, and sales conversations to understand buying criteria, pain points, and emerging use cases.

Enable our Sales team: Develop compelling product messaging, use-case positioning, business cases, and sales materials that translate technical capabilities into measurable business value.

Turn market insights into product improvements: Collect customer feedback, analyze win/loss patterns, and identify recurring opportunities for new or improved AI agents.

Influence product decisions: Work directly with engineers to clarify customer problems, validate opportunities, and recommend priorities based on commercial potential and customer impact.

Own product knowledge: Build and maintain the product and go-to-market knowledge base used by our teams and internal AI systems, ensuring capabilities, use cases, and proof points stay accurate.

Analyze commercial performance: Understand how our products perform across customer segments, sales cycles, usage, and revenue.

Improve pricing and packaging: Identify opportunities to strengthen our commercial offering, increase conversion, and unlock expansion.

Understand the market: Stay close to competitors, industry developments, and emerging customer requirements.

What We're Looking For
2+ years of experience in Product Management, Solutions Consulting, Pre-Sales, or a comparable customer-facing role.

Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally within a fast-growing startup or scale-up selling to enterprise customers.

Direct involvement in enterprise sales cycles, including discovery, demos, business cases, and commercial discussions.

Strong technical understanding and experience working closely with engineering teams.

Familiarity with AI and LLM-based products and the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.

Strong commercial judgment and an understanding of what drives customer adoption, conversion, and revenue.

Analytical skills and the ability to turn customer feedback, market signals, and performance data into clear recommendations.

Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.

A proactive, hands-on mindset with high ownership and the confidence to challenge assumptions.

Experience using AI tools in your daily work.

Procurement experience is a plus, but not required. We're looking for someone who can quickly understand a complex market and connect customer needs with real business opportunities.

Why Join Lio?
Shape how enterprise AI reaches the market: Influence both our product direction and how we position and sell our AI agents.

Work at the intersection of product and revenue: Your work will directly contribute to winning customers and growing our business.

Collaborate with exceptional teams: Work closely with engineers, sales leaders, and enterprise customers to solve complex problems.

Build for real-world impact: Help bring AI agents into production at some of the world's largest organizations.

High ownership, low bureaucracy: Take initiative, move fast, and have a meaningful voice in how we grow.

If you're excited about combining product thinking, customer understanding, and commercial impact, we'd love to hear from you.
