Required Skills & Experience

Core QA Skills

5+ years of software QA experience with at least 3 years in mobile app testing.

Hands-on experience testing native Android and iOS applications.

Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX standards, navigation flows, and platform guidelines.

Ability to perform cross-device and OS version testing using real devices or cloud platforms.

Automation & Tools

Working knowledge of Appium, Espresso, or XCTest for automation.

Familiar with CI/CD and test execution pipelines (Bitrise, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Experience with Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr for test management.

Proficiency in Postman or REST Assured for API testing.

Exposure to Charles Proxy or Fiddler for network traffic analysis.

Technical Awareness

Understanding of mobile app architectures, APIs, JSON structures, and push notifications.

Familiarity with Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and remote config testing.

Exposure to performance testing and monitoring using tools like Android Profiler or Xcode Instruments (nice to have).

Soft Skills

Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills within Agile squads.

Self-motivated, proactive in identifying edge cases and potential risks.

Comfortable working across time zones and distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Certifications such as ISTQB Foundation or Agile Testing.

Experience with e-commerce or shopping mobile apps.

Exposure to device cloud platforms (Firebase Test Lab, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs).
