Role: Sr. Network Engineer Supporting Europe - This is a remote opportunity

The Senior Network Engineer resolves larger and more complex LAN/WLAN/WAN issues, supports high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management, troubleshooting of network communications equipment, serves as regional point of contact for network issues, manages configuration and communications interconnection matters, addresses multi-protocol routing/network management issues, and provides written recommendations through tickets, written standards, or updates to existing standards.

The Senior Network Engineer also advises on LAN/WLAN/WAN design, deployment, implementation, and standardization to support the MHS mission.

Must-have Requirements:Active Secret clearance
DoD 8570.01 / 8570.01-M compliance at IAM Level III or equivalent
DoD Health Care Information Systems experience is required
Mastery-level experience with normal networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, RSTP, VRRP, BIND, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, PPP, HDLC, V.35, RS-449, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, and 802-series communications standards.
Mastery-level experience in routed, switched, and shared LAN environments using supported Microsoft OS, Windows Active Directory, UNIX, OpenVMS, routers, switches, terminal servers, local WAN, and long-haul WAN connectivity.
Hands-on experience with SolarWinds Orion, ARMIS, Ansible, MIB, MRTG-type monitoring, diagnostic tools, network administration tools, OTDR, cable testers, network sniffers, and EIA/TIA cable standards.
Ability to establish and configure network firewalls, VPN devices, and IDSs.
Ability to lead network specialists and coordinate with Government staff, medical personnel, other contractors, NetMOD Network Standards Team, and internal/external organizations.

Education and Certifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, technical degree, or related discipline plus five years directly related experience; or certified technical/vocational school plus 10 years related experience gained through progressively higher complexity
CCNP and CISSP required
