About the role

Salary Transparency:

This position is intended for candidates with 4+ years of professional backend development experience.

The salary range varies depending on experience, between €80,000 and €90,000 gross per year + bonus.

Work model: Full-time, hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote). Permanent contract.

Location: Hamburg (Altstadt).

Muxon is a small, globally active recruitment agency and is conducting this search on behalf of our partner, an innovative European technology company developing AI-powered digital identity verification solutions. Their platform combines advanced security standards with a seamless user experience, enabling secure online identification, digital trust services, and helping shape the future of digital identity across Europe. As the company continues to scale, they are looking for an experienced Golang Software Engineer to join their Backend Engineering team and contribute to the development of secure, high-performance backend systems used by millions of users.

Tasks

Design, develop and maintain backend services using Go (Golang).

Build new product features while continuously improving existing functionality.

Develop and maintain secure REST APIs and messaging-based services.

Improve system observability, monitoring and production reliability.

Take ownership of services in production following a "you build it, you run it" mindset.

Refactor legacy components into modern event-driven and state-machine architectures.

Strengthen backend security and data protection across critical systems.

Collaborate with product, mobile and machine learning teams to integrate AI-powered services into backend workflows.

Requirements

4+ years of professional backend development experience, including proven commercial experience with Go (Golang).

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.

Solid knowledge of SQL, REST APIs and messaging systems.

Experience working on customer-facing software products.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Quality-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

Fluent English (written and spoken).
