DESCRIPTION
As a Business Development Manager for Biotechnology at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll drive strategic growth in the Biotech sector by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You'll build and nurture partnerships with biotechnology companies, leveraging our innovative portfolio to create value and accelerate scientific breakthroughs. Working collaboratively across divisions and functions, you'll develop and execute go-to-market strategies that expand our presence in the market and position Thermo Fisher as the partner of choice for biotechnology innovation.

REQUIREMENTS
Masters Degree plus 5 years of experience in strategic account management, preferably in life sciences or scientific products
Preferred Fields of Study: Molecular Biology and Biotechnology
Technical and scientific knowledge to engage in consultative customer discussions
Track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and growing market share
Relationship building and negotiation skills at all organizational levels
Strong presentation and communication abilities, both written and verbal
Analytical capabilities and business acumen
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and influence through partnership
Strategic planning and execution skills to develop and implement account growth plans
Travel required to visit customer sites and attend industry events
Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial
Initiative and ability to work independently
Hands on experience with scientific workflows and laboratory operations preferred
