The Product Orderability & Global Documentation group is responsible for product, software and services implementations in CRM, ERP and Product Lifecycle Management Systems. The Global documentation team is responsible for all product related user manuals, internal and external training materials on various front end and backend systems. Group has a global presence in all regions (North America, Europe and Asia). It is responsible for working with cross functional teams (Go-to-Market, Learning Management, Sales, Product Management, IT, Services) for end-to-end definition and implementation of product offers and configurations in CRM/ERP systems from Quoting to Fulfillment products and to provide better user experiences to our end customers, partners, resellers and Salesforce including product documentation and training material.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Database Engineering: Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts to support large-scale database environments.

System Integration: Develop and maintain Core Java applications and RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between systems.

Requirement Gathering: Lead cross-functional collaboration sessions with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.

Performance Tuning: Apply deep knowledge of Oracle DB backend concepts to optimize database performance, indexing, and partitioning.

Architectural Oversight: Ensure all solutions align with standard RDBMS principles, maintaining data integrity, security, and scalability.

Legacy Code Review: Ability to read, analyze, understand and update legacy database queries, Java code and enhance it.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.

Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in database development and backend engineering.

Technical Stack:
Databases: Expert-level SQL and PL/SQL; experience with large-scale Oracle DB environments.

Programming: Proficiency in Core Java and building/consuming REST APIs.

Concepts: Strong grasp of RDBMS fundamentals, and relational modeling.

Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of working across departments (Product, QA, and DevOps).

Preferred Skills
Experience with Oracle-specific tools (e.g., SQL Developer, Data Pump, or AWR reports).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

Familiarity with cloud-based database services (AWS RDS or OCI).

Strong practical knowledge on modern JDKs (e.g. Java 21) and experience with best software development practices, like clean-code, SOLID rules, etc.).

Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.

4+ years of professional experience in database development and backend engineering.

Expert-level SQL and PL/SQL; experience with large-scale Oracle DB environments.

Proficiency in Core Java and building/consuming REST APIs.
