About the role

About the Role
Join a small, fast-growing go-to-market team at a post-seed AI SaaS company bringing modern artificial intelligence to the wholesale distribution industry — a large, traditionally underserved sector. As an early Business Development Representative, you'll own the full prospecting pipeline, help define how the company sells, and gain rare early-stage exposure to company-building and cross-functional decision-making. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in a startup environment and wants to shape something from the ground up.
What You'll Do
Own the prospecting pipeline end-to-end — from outreach to closing — via phone, email, and social media, engaging wholesale decision-makers directly.

Test and optimize both outbound and inbound lead generation strategies; iterate quickly and cut what isn't working.

Become the team's go-to expert on the product, the wholesale market, and customer needs — persuading rather than pitching.

Independently research B2B prospects and build compelling sales materials and presentations.

Write and refine call scripts and communication templates; share learnings through internal training sessions.

Work AI-native: proactively identify and adopt AI tools to move faster and experiment with new approaches.

Take early ownership in shaping messaging, GTM strategy, and customer-facing processes at the company level.

What We're Looking For
Required:
0–7 years of professional experience in B2B SaaS sales or a closely related field.

Comfortable with sales outreach channels — phone, email, and social media.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English (bilingual fluency required).

Based in Berlin, Germany and fully eligible to work there without visa sponsorship.

Genuine motivation to build from scratch and willingness to get hands dirty in an early-stage environment.

Strong customer-facing skills: you enjoy talking to customers, can convince people, and follow through reliably.

Goal-oriented, resilient, and positive — you see challenges as opportunities.

Nice to Have:
Tech-savvy mindset and/or genuine interest in the industrial or wholesale distribution sector.

Experience using AI tools to enhance sales productivity or outreach.

Ability to independently create sales materials and presentations that resonate with B2B buyers.

Location & Work Arrangement
This role is on-site in Berlin, Germany. Candidates must already be fully eligible to work in Germany — visa sponsorship is not available.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process. As an early-stage hire, you can expect meaningful equity participation alongside a competitive base, and significant scope to grow with the company as it scales.
