About the role

A career driven by you. Join AutoScout24 Group and experience life in the fast lane. We’re not just leading the market; we’re creating it. For a career that doesn’t stand still, where you can put your ideas in the driving seat and change the way the world moves, join our global community.

About the role

Join our Platform Engineering team at AutoScout24 Group. We build the internal platform that 600+ developers rely on to ship software quickly and safely: centralized Kubernetes, managed CI/CD, project templates, and the developer tooling that runs on top of AWS. Our customers are developers. We live "you build it, you run it" and we invest in self-service and a product mindset so a small team can have a big impact.

A big part of that today is making developers more productive with AI, and we're already deep in it. We've driven AI tooling adoption across the company and we're building out the platform behind it: secure managed environments for AI coding tools, AI-assisted CI (automated PR reviews, fixes for failing builds), agentic workflows on AWS (Bedrock, Agent Core), and MCP-based integrations. The AI is the means, not the end. What we care about is a faster, smoother day-to-day for every engineer, and AI is the biggest lever we have.

We're looking for a senior platform engineer who already works fluently with modern AI tooling and uses it to move fast. You reach for Claude, Codex, and agents to get real work shipped, and you'd rather build something and learn from it than research it forever. You bring solid infrastructure and AWS fundamentals, product thinking, and the communication skills to own a topic, plan it, and bring people with you.

What you'll do...

Build and operate the internal AI platform: secure AI coding environments, AI in CI/CD, agentic workflows on AWS (Bedrock / Agent Core), and reusable building blocks teams adopt by default.

Own products end to end. You design, build, run, and improve them with a product mindset, treating fellow engineers as your customers and shaping interfaces that are genuinely easy to build with.

Start from the developer's day. You figure out where the real friction is, decide what would actually make their work easier, and measure whether people adopt it once it ships.

Take ownership of a topic, plan the work, drive it to done, and keep stakeholders in the loop.

Set the bar for how we build with AI. You turn an interesting idea into tooling people can actually rely on, and you bring the rest of the team along with you.

Shape architecture and technology choices for our platform foundations (Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC on AWS) and for the AI capabilities on top, and say what you think in technical discussions.

Keep the platform reliable, secure, observable, and cost-aware. You'll join the on-call rotation and help troubleshoot production incidents.

Capture reusable patterns, templates, and blueprints so the whole organization moves faster.

What you need to succeed...

Senior-level experience (typically 5+ years) building and operating infrastructure or platform products.

Hands-on GenAI experience. You've built with LLM APIs, tool/function calling, retrieval, agents, or agent frameworks and put them into real workflows.

Modern AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex) are part of how you work day to day.

Strong AWS fundamentals and a genuine appreciation for Infrastructure as Code and Pipeline as Code.

A real feel for developer experience. You can look at a feature and tell whether it'll make a developer's life easier or just add another thing to learn, because you've lived that friction yourself.

Strong communication and collaboration. You work well in a team, share your opinions clearly, and can move a topic forward with people across functions.

Solid engineering fundamentals: testing, debugging, code quality, and getting things ready for production.

Familiarity with SRE / DevOps principles and observability concepts (CloudWatch, Datadog, OpsGenie or similar).

You code well in at least one language, ideally Python, Go, or TypeScript.

A bias for shipping. You're comfortable taking something ambiguous and turning it into a working solution with sensible scope.

Why this team...

Platform Engineering sits at the center of how the company builds software, and the AI platform is the bet we're most excited about right now. You'll get real ownership, teammates who are already invested in AI, and the room to define how the whole organization builds with it. We use the tools we build.

At AutoScout24 we celebrate diversity as a strength. Our organization comprises 50+ nationalities working together inclusively and respectfully. If you want to shape how an entire engineering organization builds with AI, we'd love to hear from you.
