About the role

About Alma

At Alma, we believe sustainable commerce depends on fair, well-balanced trade. Because finance plays a pivotal role in business, our mission is to put it back in its rightful place: serving merchants and consumers.

Our installment and deferred payment solutions help merchants boost sales by 20% or more, increase customer loyalty and deliver a seamless shopping experience, without encouraging bad debt.

As the buy now, pay later leader in France and an active player in 10 European countries, we have empowered more than 25,000 merchants and 10 million consumers.

With 380+ Almakers and €100M+ in ARR, Alma is scaling rapidly across Europe as a member of the Next40, and we are just getting started!

About the team

This position is for a CDR based in Paris.

You will join Alma’s SMB Sales team, made up of more than 20 people, and more specifically our four-person Inbound team.

As the team continues to grow alongside Alma, you will have the opportunity to leverage your sales skills while continuing to learn, develop and receive support from experienced teammates. Your goal will be to become the best sales professional you can be, with the support of the wider Revenue organization.

You will also work alongside a European, multilingual and multi-country Revenue organization of more than 80 people, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across markets and cultures.

About the job

Since Alma was founded in 2019, the Inbound team has been a key pillar of our commercial growth. As an Inbound Account Executive, you will play a central role in helping SMB merchants across France and Europe discover, adopt and grow with Alma.

Your mission will be to turn inbound opportunities into long-term commercial relationships, from the first conversation to the first transaction.

Own the inbound sales cycle: qualify, understand and convert leads from different sources, focusing on merchants with less than €5 million in annual revenue.

Build and manage your pipeline: organize your time, prioritize opportunities and manage every lead from qualification through to the first sale.

Deliver consistent performance: work towards monthly, quarterly and annual targets while maintaining a high level of execution and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Master the art of selling: continuously sharpen your discovery, sales, negotiation and closing techniques through practice, coaching and feedback.

Become a trusted expert: develop a deep understanding of the retail, e-commerce, finance and payments industries, both in France and across Europe.

Grow with Alma: contribute to the continued development of the Inbound team and help shape the way we support and convert the next generation of Alma merchants.

This role is ideal for someone ambitious, curious and eager to take ownership, grow quickly and make a tangible impact on Alma’s growth.

You will work with

As an Inbound Account Executive, you’ll work with a range of tools to manage your activity, improve your sales performance and better understand our merchants:

Salesforce: our CRM, where you’ll manage your leads, pipeline and sales activity.

Gong: to automate parts of your workflow, record your calls and review them to continuously improve your sales techniques.

Aircall: to manage your day-to-day calls with prospects and merchants.

Slack: to communicate directly with your colleagues and collaborate across teams.

Google Workspace: for the day-to-day productivity and collaboration tools used across the team.

Looker: to access and analyze business and sales data.

Additional retail and merchant intelligence tools: you’ll discover these over time, alongside the wider teams, to deepen your understanding of our market and prospects.

About you

To succeed in this job

Humility: you learn from your mistakes, welcome feedback and continuously improve alongside the team.

Autonomy: you can quickly take ownership of your pipeline, manage your opportunities and convert merchants independently.

Curiosity: you’re eager to understand the retail, e-commerce, finance and payments ecosystems in which Alma operates, and become a recognized expert in these areas.

Rigor: you pay attention to every step of the sales cycle and maintain high standards to deliver sustainable performance and exceed your targets.

And it would be a plus if you also

Language skills: you are bilingual in English and either bilingual or a native speaker of Spanish or German.

Don't meet every single requirement? At Alma, we believe great hires come from diverse paths. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply. We value potential, curiosity and the ability to grow as much as experience.

What’s in it for you

If you join us, you will have the opportunity to grow and make an impact through:

A true sales school: learn every day alongside experienced sales professionals and develop the skills, habits and mindset to build a successful career in one of France’s leading tech companies.

A high-performing, supportive team: join a close-knit and caring environment where people challenge, support and look after one another, with high standards and genuine attention to individual needs.

An ambitious and sustainable company: contribute to Alma’s ambition to scale across Europe profitably, within a stable and well-structured organization.
