About the role

Back in 2012, we were a group of engineers and designers who decided we wanted to build things, so we did. Able started as an engineering and product hub building for a portfolio of early-stage startups. We built many relationships while developing products that were thoughtful, effective, and genuinely useful. But, since then, we’ve grown… and so has our ambition.
Now, we’re entering our next chapter, defined by applied AI. AI is a powerful force in the end-to-end software development cycle, and we’re creating practices that allow us to deliver software fast and more effectively than traditional approaches, creating meaningful value for our partners. Today, our builder mindset is driving us to become an AI-native organization across every function. We’re still evolving, and that’s part of the opportunity. If you want to build, learn, and tackle challenges alongside an ambitious team, let’s build together.
This position is 100% remote and open to candidates based in the U.S. or Latin America.
About the Role
As our Business Development Representative, you'll own the top of the sales funnel, identifying target companies, reaching the right decision-makers, and turning outbound conversations into qualified opportunities. This is a highly outbound role, focused on prospecting mid-market companies, building targeted lists, and creating opportunities from scratch. You'll work closely with sales leadership and our technical team to understand prospects' AI needs and help build a repeatable outbound playbook for Able.
What We’re Looking For
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Own outbound prospecting: Research target accounts, identify key decision-makers, build account lists, and proactively create new opportunities.

Run multi-channel outreach: Engage prospects through email, LinkedIn, phone, and other relevant channels using personalized, thoughtful messaging.

Qualify opportunities: Understand a prospect's business, challenges, and potential AI needs to determine whether there is a strong fit.

Book qualified meetings: Schedule conversations with sales leadership and provide clear context so each handoff starts with the right information.

Handle inbound leads: Respond to inbound interest, qualify prospects, and move relevant opportunities into the pipeline.

Build the outbound playbook: Track what messaging, personas, industries, and approaches are working and help turn those learnings into a repeatable process.

Maintain a healthy pipeline: Keep prospect information, follow-ups, and activity organized so the pipeline remains accurate and actionable.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of BDR/SDR experience in B2B software, technology, or a similar environment.

A strong track record of outbound prospecting and lead generation, you're comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.

Strong research skills and the ability to identify the right companies, personas, and business triggers.

AI familiarity or an AI-native mindset. You don't need to be an AI expert, but you should be genuinely interested in AI and able to understand enough to have relevant conversations with prospects about their needs and challenges.

Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with senior decision-makers.

A data-driven and curious approach to prospecting: you know how to research, prioritize, and test different approaches to find the right prospects.

Comfort working in an early-stage environment where processes, tools, and messaging are still being built and refined

Experience selling across multiple industries. Exposure to mid-market companies, private equity, or family offices is especially valuable.

Experience working with CRM and prospecting tools to manage accounts, track outreach, maintain follow-ups, and keep pipeline data accurate.

What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means consistently creating high-quality opportunities, learning quickly from the market, and helping Able build an outbound motion that can scale.
You'll know you're succeeding when you're consistently reaching the right people, having relevant conversations, and turning those conversations into qualified meetings. You'll also bring insights back to the team, what messaging works, which prospects are responding, and where the biggest opportunities are.
You won't simply execute an existing playbook, you'll help build it.

Able is powered by curious, thoughtful people who care about what they build and how they build it. We’re actively investing in our team through AI training, knowledge-sharing, and hands-on experimentation to ensure everyone grows alongside the technology.
