Role Title: Child Development Psychologist (PhD)

micro1 is engaging Psychologists to contribute their expertise to a customer's project at the intersection of psychology and technology. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This opportunity is especially suited for contributors who have a background in research or academic work related to child development or developmental psychology, with or without direct clinical experience.
Scope of Work

Evaluate, review, and annotate data sets relevant to child development and developmental psychology for AI system training.

Provide detailed insights and feedback on the accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and developmental relevance of data and model outputs.

Contribute expert analysis to scenario development, test cases, and real-world situations involving children’s learning and behavior.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to inform model improvements and ensure psychological integrity in AI interactions.

Create or refine guidelines for AI systems to better address linguistic, cognitive, and psychosocial aspects of child development across diverse backgrounds.

Document findings and recommendations with clarity and depth to support ongoing AI research and development.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate (PhD) in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, or closely related field.

Demonstrated involvement in technology-driven, digital, or AI-focused projects relevant to child development is highly desirable.

Comfortable working remotely on digital platforms, delivering contributions independently while engaging with a distributed team.
