Key Media is looking for a Business Journalist to join our global editorial team, covering the mortgage industry for a highly engaged B2B audience. This is a role for someone who is energised by access — by getting senior people on the record, drawing out the insights behind the headlines, and building the kind of source relationships that keep you ahead of the story.

What you'll do:
Source, pitch, and pursue interview-led stories that go beyond the press release — finding the angles that matter to mortgage industry professionals.
Build and maintain a network of high-level sources: executives, brokers, lenders, and regulators you can call on when news breaks.
Conduct sharp, well-prepared interviews with senior business leaders and translate those conversations into authoritative, reader-first journalism
Monitor breaking B2B news across the mortgage sector and move quickly to get the right voices on record.
Collaborate with journalists around the world to develop and refine story angles.
Write in the voice and style of our niche publications, with a command of the language and terminology your readers use every day.
Meet deadlines without compromising on accuracy or depth.
All of our content is published in English for a global B2B audience, so excellent written and verbal English is essential.
What we're looking for:
A confident, practised interviewer — someone who can hold their own with C-suite executives and draw out insights that go beyond the talking points
Solid experience in business journalism, ideally covering financial services, mortgages, or a related sector
A proven ability to produce intelligent, market-leading news content for a sophisticated audience
Strong news judgement and the initiative to work independently across time zones
Excellent English and a genuine curiosity about the mortgage industry and the people driving it
