We believe collaboration fuels creativity, diversity drives strength, and curiosity keeps us ahead of the curve.
Every great company is built by great people. Join us to help shape the future of digital asset infrastructure.
About the Role
Shift Markets is seeking an experienced Product Manager with deep trading and derivatives expertise to own and accelerate our institutional trading roadmap.
We are looking for an AI-native product leader who can turn complex trading and risk requirements into clear product direction, detailed specifications, prototypes, and shipped capabilities.
This role sits at the intersection of trading operations, product strategy, and engineering. You will work directly with institutional clients and internal stakeholders to define and deliver infrastructure supporting FX, equities, futures, options, commodities, and crypto markets.
This is a highly autonomous role. We are looking for someone who can operate from high-level direction, define scope independently, and create leverage across the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing

Own the roadmap for trading and derivatives products.

Translate complex trading operations and risk requirements into scalable product capabilities.

Partner directly with institutional clients to understand workflows, pain points, and requirements.

Collaborate with engineering, business, and client-facing teams to deliver trading infrastructure.

Define product priorities, make roadmap tradeoffs, and proactively solve user problems.

Create clear product requirements, workflows, and technical specifications.

AI-Native Product Expectations
AI should be part of your daily workflow and materially improve the quality and speed of your output.
You should be comfortable using AI tools for:
Product Discovery & Research

Synthesize client feedback and trading requirements.

Accelerate market, competitor, and workflow research.

Explore solution options quickly and efficiently.

Product Design & Prototyping

Create visual product concepts and workflows using tools such as Figma, v0, Lovable, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted tools.

Produce functional prototypes that clearly communicate product direction.

Specifications & Systems Thinking

Generate detailed specifications, workflows, and technical documentation.

Create diagrams, process maps, sequence flows, and structured requirements.

Think in terms of data flows, APIs, architecture, lifecycle events, and edge cases.

Product Operations

Use AI to accelerate roadmap planning and execution.

Create and manage structured delivery workflows in tools such as Asana, including task generation, acceptance criteria, and dependency mapping.

AI is expected to be a force multiplier in this role. We are looking for someone who already uses modern tooling to operate at a high level of leverage.
What We’re Looking For
Trading & Domain Expertise

3–5+ years of experience in trading, risk management, derivatives, or trading infrastructure.

Experience running or supporting a trading desk or building trading software.

Strong understanding of risk management, hedging, liquidity and exposure, trading infrastructure and market mechanics.

Experience with one or more of: FX, equities, futures, cptions, commodities and/or crypto markets.

Product & Technical Thinking

Strong systems thinking and ability to translate ambiguity into clear product direction.

Comfortable reasoning about data flows, APIs, architecture, and operational workflows.

Ability to challenge technical or business assumptions when necessary.

AI-Driven Product Execution

Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve product output and execution speed.

Experience using AI for specifications, prototyping, technical documentation, research, or workflow automation.

Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Figma AI, Cursor, and Asana automations.

Bonus Points

Experience in crypto, fintech, exchange technology, or institutional brokerage.

Technical or software development background.

Experience working directly with institutional trading clients.

Why join Shift?

The opportunity to shape the future of institutional trading infrastructure across crypto, derivatives, and global financial markets.

A highly autonomous, high-impact role with clear opportunities for growth into senior product leadership.

A fully remote, globally distributed team that values collaboration, innovation, and strong ownership.

A fast-moving, AI-forward culture where modern tools and automation are embraced to help teams operate at a high level of leverage.

The chance to work alongside experienced operators, engineers, and institutional clients building the next generation of digital finance infrastructure.

This is a full-time position and would require 40 hours per week and Preferred time zone overlap with U.S. working hours (Canada, Latin America or Eastern Europe)
