About the role

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at ITTM, you will help build focused applications and services that enable researchers and healthcare professionals to collect, manage, process, and use health data across different projects and use cases.

You will work across the full development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and making architectural decisions to implementation, deployment, and operating applications in production. Tasks

Design, develop, and maintain web applications and backend services for managing and working with health data.

Build modern frontends using Vue.js and robust backend services using JavaScript / TypeScript.

Design maintainable APIs, data models, and application architectures.

Translate requirements and ideas into practical, user-friendly software solutions.

Collaborate closely with UX/UI, researchers, product management, and other developers.

Take ownership of features and applications from requirements through implementation and deployment to production.

Build, run, and deploy applications using Docker and Docker Compose.

Contribute to CI/CD, monitoring, troubleshooting, and the continuous improvement of our development processes.

Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted development, while critically reviewing and taking responsibility for the resulting code.

Manage priorities independently and deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced engineer who is comfortable working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure. You should be proactive, pragmatic, and able to work independently while collaborating closely with the team.

Strong professional experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, including backend development.

Strong experience with Vue.js and modern frontend development.

Experience building responsive and mobile-first web applications.

Experience with relational databases, SQL, and designing data models.

Experience with Docker and Docker Compose.

Experience building, deploying, and operating production web applications.

Good understanding of software architecture, APIs, automated testing, and the trade-offs involved in building maintainable systems.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.

Awareness of security, privacy, and data protection requirements when working with sensitive data.

Comfortable working with unfamiliar technologies and choosing appropriate tools for the problem.

Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools effectively while critically reviewing generated code.

Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Helpful, but not required:

Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform.

Experience building applications using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, or AI APIs.

Experience in healthcare, biomedical research, clinical research, or other data-intensive domains.
