About the role

About Flowmingo AI
Flowmingo is a Y Combinator-backed startup (plus VinaCapital & top global investors) on a mission to democratize hiring. We believe the current hiring model is broken: recruiters only have time to interview 5% of applicants, leaving 95% of talent—the "hidden gems"—undiscovered. We are fixing this with an AI-native, high-volume interviewing platform. Our model is unique: we offer our tool for free to recruiters to capture the massive, uncontested markets of Southeast Asia, LATAM, and Africa. This allows us to process massive volumes of candidates that traditional, expensive platforms cannot touch.
The QA Challenge
This is not a typical "click around and find bugs" internship. You are the last line of defense for a platform used by millions of candidates in high-stakes situations (getting a job).
You will face the "Device Fragmentation" challenge: How do we ensure our AI Speech-to-Text works on a budget phone in Jakarta just as well as it does on a MacBook in Singapore? You will help us answer that.
What You Will Do

Rigorous Testing: You will test our AI interview flow across a massive variety of mobile devices and browsers, identifying edge cases that only happen in the real world.

"Breaker" Mindset: You will try to break the platform before our users do. What happens if the internet cuts out mid-interview? What if the user denies camera permissions? You find out.

Release Management: You will work directly with the Engineering and Product team to green-light releases. If you say "No," we don't ship.

Process Improvement: You will proactively identify gaps in our testing workflow and suggest better ways to catch bugs early, using data from user reports.

Quality Documentation: You will translate messy bug reports into clear, actionable engineering tickets with precise reproduction steps.

Who You Are

Detail-Obsessed: You notice when a button is 2 pixels off or when a loading spinner spins for too long.

Tech-Savvy: You know how to open the Browser Console (Inspect Element) and look at network errors.

Empathy for the User: You understand that a bug isn't just an error; it's a candidate losing a job opportunity.

Logical Thinker: You can isolate variables to find the root cause of a bug, not just the symptom.

Bonus: A strong interest in tech products, data analytics, or coding, with deep curiosity about how things work "under the hood" is a huge plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Remuneration: Monthly compensation tailored to your experience level.

The YC Playbook: Learn how Silicon Valley startups build and scale products.

Real Impact: You will see your ideas go live and directly affect the user experience for thousands of people.

Mentorship: Work closely with the Founder and Product team.

Application Process
Please fill out the form on the right and submit your CV, a 30-minute AI interview will appear on the next screen. Completing the interview is mandatory. You can do it immediately or save the link for later, but early submissions receive priority processing.
