About the role

About Flowmingo AI
Flowmingo is a Y Combinator-backed startup (plus VinaCapital & top global investors) on a mission to democratize hiring. We believe the current hiring model is broken: recruiters only have time to interview 5% of applicants, leaving 95% of talent—the "hidden gems"—undiscovered. We are fixing this with an AI-native, high-volume interviewing platform. Our model is unique: we offer our tool for free to recruiters to capture the massive, uncontested markets of Southeast Asia, LATAM, and Africa. This allows us to process massive volumes of candidates that traditional, expensive platforms cannot touch.
About the Role: Product Intern / Fresher
Join a YC-backed AI hiring startup and help shape the future of AI collaboration. As a Product Intern/Fresher, your primary focus will be on understanding and optimizing the "User Journey." Our platform serves thousands of candidates daily, and your mission will be to delve into their motivations and behaviors: Why do they sign up? Where do they encounter friction? How can we enhance the product's value to transform users into advocates?
Key Responsibilities

Product Ideation & Strategy: Contribute to brainstorming and strategic discussions, identifying user pain points and proposing new features that drive growth and engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering on feasibility, Marketing on launch messaging, and Operations to understand real-time user feedback.

Funnel Optimization: Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the user journey. For example, investigate why only 40% of users complete their profile and propose strategies to increase this to 60%.

Feature Specifications & Documentation: Write clear, concise requirements for new features and assist in maintaining the product roadmap.

Product Testing (QA): Test new features before launch to ensure a polished user experience and identify any bugs.

Launch Management: Help coordinate feature releases, ensuring alignment across Marketing, Operations, and Technology teams for successful rollouts.

What We're Looking For

Data-Driven Intuition: You can use data to inform decisions while maintaining empathy for user psychology.

Clear Communicator: You can explain complex ideas simply and write concise requirements.

Entrepreneurial Spirit: You are interested in how products grow from inception to scale. You are eager to learn about Product-Led Growth (PLG) and viral loops.

Design Sensibility: While not a designer, you have a good sense of what constitutes a "clean" and "trustworthy" user interface.

Bonus: A strong interest in tech products, data analytics, or coding. Curiosity about how software is built is a significant plus.

What We Offer

Competitive Remuneration: Monthly compensation will be provided, tailored to your experience level.

Startup Scaling Insights: Gain direct insights into how YC-backed Silicon Valley startups build and scale products.

Real Impact: See your ideas implemented and directly influence the user experience for thousands.

Mentorship: Work closely with the Founder and the Product team.
