About the role
Are you a skilled Haitian Creole interpreter based in US looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity? We are seeking talented individuals proficient in Haitian Creole and English to join our team of international interpreters. As a remote interpreter, you play a significant role in facilitating communication between Haitian Creole and English speakers. The interpreter needs to be able to process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner. It is essential to ensure a quiet and secure environment. Notepads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.
Candidate Qualifications:
Fluency in English and Haitian Creole
Based in US
Minimum 3 year of interpretation experience
Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
Ability to render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions
Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication, with permission or at the request of the client
Technical Requirements:
90% English proficiency
Steady wired internet connection
USB wired headset
Windows 10 or Mac
